Fork Lift Truck: One Day Refresher Course

The refresher course is suitable for operators who hold existing certification and require Refresher Training.

Course Contents

Introduction

Course Objectives. Health & Safety at Work - including film and discussion relating to employees responsibility.

Basic Principles Presentation

Demonstrating the characteristics of a Fork Lift Truck including Stability, Load Handling and Safety.

•

Safety Rules

Widely recognised Safety film covering general accidents involving Fork Lift Trucks that are common to all industries. Operator Safety

Code.

•

Practical Work

Pre-shift check by Instructor highlighting preventative maintenance - Battery Care, Charging, correct method of

connecting/disconnecting from charger, oil, engine etc. (as appropriate)

•

Safe Driving Assessment

A supervised period of practical work assessment and corrective tuition.

•

Multiple Choice Questionnaire

Theoretical questionnaire to test Delegates knowledge of safety aspects.

•

Practical Test

A Certificate is award upon successful completion of the test.

Location

Training will be undertaken on your own site. We would require the use of a small room for theoretical work and a fork lift truck of the type to

be used for training. Our instructor has all other necessary equipment.
