Asbestos Non-licensed Works (New Operative - B1)
This training course is for people who have not completed any asbestos awareness training within the last 6 months and intend to work with
asbestos that does not require a license.
If you have completed asbestos awareness training within the last 6 months you can do course B2 6 hours or 1 day
It incorporates the training requirements set out Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and Health &
Safety Guidance (HSG) 210, the Asbestos Task Manual.
What can you do?
This training will allow you to safely remove or work with asbestos roof sheets such as garages. Work on and remove electrical flash guards,
textured coating (artex), remove asbestos floor tiles, asbestos cement flue pipes, water tanks, toilet cisterns and many other low risk asbestos
products.
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at anyone in a trade or industry who will work on asbestos products that does not require a license, specifically, builders,
electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters and decorators, telecom engineers, alarm installers, maintenance staff, engineers and anyone who
needs to complete works on asbestos containing materials.

Use of H Type vacuums

Practical Works on simulated asbestos materials

Certification
Assessment is by a multiple choice test upon where delegates are awarded a certificate and I.D. Card.
